Since 1981, the West Roxbury Friends of Rosie’s Place (WRFORP) have prepared and served meals and supported the food pantry at Rosie’s Place, a sanctuary for poor and homeless women in Boston’s South End. Rosie’s Place does not accept government funding. It depends on the kindness of people like you.
WRFORP also serves Boston families in need through its support of the Roslindale Food Pantry, and by making it possible for homeless and economically disadvantaged children to attend summer camp.
Your generous donations and participation in our annual events are critical to this mission. WRFORP is an all-volunteer organization. Nearly 100% of your donations go directly to support women and families in need.
West Roxbury Friends of Rosie’s Place is a 501(c)3 Tax Exempt Organization.

With your assistance, we can offer a helping hand to fight food insecurity close to home. Roslindale Food Pantry continues to serve over 1,300 families a month, and the food pantry at Rosie’s Place still serves triple their pre-pandemic numbers.
Many children also need a helping hand. We are committed to sponsoring children’s participation in activities in the Boston area that support their mental health.
In 2023, we have set a goal once again to raise at least $40,000.
We hope you will join hands with us to reach this goal and to make helping our neighbors a community effort.
With gratitude,
WRFORP Board Members
