Since 1981, the West Roxbury Friends of Rosie’s Place (WRFORP) have prepared and served meals and supported the food pantry at Rosie’s Place, a sanctuary for poor and homeless women in Boston’s South End. Rosie’s Place does not accept government funding. It depends on the kindness of people like you.
WRFORP also serves Boston families in need through its support of the Roslindale Food Pantry, and by making it possible for homeless and economically disadvantaged children to attend summer camp.
Your generous donations and participation in our annual events are critical to this mission. WRFORP is an all-volunteer organization. Nearly 100% of your donations go directly to support women and families in need.

This is the time of year when we think about positive summer opportunities for youngsters. From March 18th to April 15th, West Roxbury Friends of Rosie’s Place focus our fundraising efforts on providing camp opportunities for children living in stressful situations so they get the chance to just be kids!
These include shared camp experiences for siblings separated by foster care, special camp experiences for children coping with family challenges, and support for children whose families can’t afford day/overnight camp tuition.
Your donation to this effort enriches the lives of kids in our community. Please make a donation during our Campership Fundraiser, March 18th—April 15th.
