West Roxbury Friends of Rosies Place wants to give a big thank you to our many long-time and new supporters who joined us on Monday, June 10th, at Distraction Brewing Co. for a fun time and a successful fundraiser for Rosie’s Place and the Roslindale Food Pantry.

A very special thanks to Distraction for hosting the event. This was our 3rd time teaming up with Distraction, and the success of the evening was due in large part to their involvement. After quenching their thirst with a brew, hungry supporters satisfied their appetite with dinner from Wanderlust Food Truck. A delicious Monday evening combination! 

The multi-generational crowd, from babies to octogenarians, added to the festive atmosphere. Thanks to everyone for their generosity and participation in the fundraiser’s raffle. Lucky winners took home gift cards donated by local businesses and friends: Pretty Moon Mercantile, Avery & Co, Studio M, Pleasant Cafe, Ron’s Gourmet Ice Cream, Woo Sox, and Red Sox tickets, just to name just a few.

Thanks to your participation, we met our goal to raise more than last year and are able to help our food insecure neighbors in need.
